Editing Guidelines

Entries should be created following these guidelines:

• As few images as possible. We don't have a lot of storage, and shouldn't really need it. When an image is necessary, it should be as small as possible.
• No smut or porn. Ironically, we want to keep the wiki Safe For Work (SFW) whenever possible. If an image shows suggestive covers, titles, or images and the content is not the topic of the article, the images should be blurred. For example: It would be difficult to describe the list of kinks from the site without actually listing the kinks.
• All facts should be cited. In general, because this wiki is about Red Quill, the vast majority of citations will be either the Red Quill site or the Red Quill subreddit (r/redquill).
• Fonts, colors, etc, should not be changed. We want to keep a consistent presentation
• Do not post links to stories, components, or accounts. Anything that can be found in "My Library" on Red Quill should not be linked because those items might be deleted, hidden, renamed, or changed by the owner without warning or notice.
• Don't yuck somebody's yum. Be very careful that wording describing a kink, a style, or trope is neutral and fair. It might seem weird, gross, or bizarre to you, but it's somebody's thing. Likewise, your thing is going to seem weird, gross, or bizarre to someone else.
• Use the Oxford comma. Because it's correct, and we don't have to pay for commas.
• Don't be shy about the language. If you are unsure about how to say something properly (complex idea, English is your second language, English is your first language but you're not very good with it anyway), do your best and mark the entry as "needs review". Someone will check the entry for grammar, spelling, and to ensure that it is fair and informative.
