A complete story info panel

The Story Info panel is found when clicking on the pencil icon next to your story title.

The Story Info Panel includes the following components:

Publish button

If the story has not been published, this button will appear.

Lorebook button

A button to open the Lorebook for this story.

Category & tags

The category selection box, followed by the tags list. A maximum of four (4) tags are allowed. Below these two selection boxes, the selected tags will be shown. RQ will automatically generate at least one tag, though it is not very good at selecting these and so the selected tag will usually be quite far off.

Title

The title entry box, which allows up to 45 characters.

Story Cover Image

The image to use for this story. Red Quill can generate an image in any of several art styles, or an outside image can be selected. The image is 848x1264 pixels.

A few things to note:

  1. The content filter can be fairly strict. Often even an image of a child, or one in the background, will cause it to reject an image.
  2. Nudity is usually not able to get through the censor. There is a reason for this, but it does seem counter-intuitive at first.
  3. Animated GIFs are allowed, though as a good RQ citizen, it would be nice not to make them too distracting or continuously looping. Limiting them to a few loops is good.
  4. Maximum image size is 5 MB. (If every story used all 5 MB, that would be 150 TB of storage for images alone!)
Description

The description can be generated automatically by Red Quill by clicking on the circular arrow. While the user is only able to type 155 characters in, the system will often generate a description well over that.

Visibility

The current visibility of the story--Public, Unlisted, or Private.

Created

The creation date.

Story Creation Options

The original prompt used to generate the story.

Save Story idea button

A button to save the components and prompt used for this story as a Story Idea.

Delete story button

The button to delete a story.
